But, how do you get your list started? What does it take to create, build, and maintain a responsive list for your Internet marketing efforts?

1)    A compelling offer. You need to attract people to sign up to your list. “Look at me, here I am, sign up!” isn’t going to do the trick. You need to come up with a valuable offer to share with your subscribers. Make them want to sign up for your list by offering niche related freebies which are a great incentive for subscribers.
2)    A domain name. Your domain name needs to be niche related. This will be the place you send traffic to sign up for your email list.
3)    Web hosting. It’s amazing how inexpensive web hosting has become over the years. You do not need the granddaddy package to give your landing page a nice resting place, but you do need hosting that allows room to grow.
4)    Landing page. You need a landing page where you will send visitors. This is where they’ll sign up for your list and learn a little bit about the free gift you are offering subscribers. Keep it simple and make sure that the sign up box is the prominent feature on your page.
